siteo.us Make Your Delicious URLs

My buddy, Adham Somantrie, has written a great URL shortener called Siteo.us. This service is still in alpha phase, but I believe it will reach great features.

Based on its development blog, I wrote a piece of WP plugin code to make this thing easier to use. All you have to do is just grab Siteous It WP Plugin (213) script, rename it to siteous-it.php and then upload it to your WP plugins directory.

Activate the plugin, and voilla! Your post entries can be “siteoused” and shared to everyone!

Updated: Since it hosted on WordPress.Org plugin repository, now you can install this plugin from Plugin Browser in your dashboard. From Dashboard » Plugins » Add New, type “siteous” on plugin search bar. After you hit enter, you can easily install anda activate the code.

Plurk Smilies

After googling, I found great Plurk Smiley plugin to be used in WordPress. The emoticons images are compiled by Cak Dadan after he discussed with eFahmi. I just recompiled this plugin and add some emoticons that not included in Cak Dadan’s smilies, and of course all credits go to both of them!

Installing Plugin

1. Grab Smilies Themer plugin by Ricardo González and Smilies Themer Toolbar plugin for extra by Frasten and extract in your wp-content/plugins/ directory.
2. Download Plurk Smilies (277).
3. Extract the Plurk Smilies and place plurk directory into wp-content/plugins/smilies-theme/ so it will be looked like wp-content/plugins/smilies-theme/plurk/.
4. Activate the plugin.
5. On Settings » Smilies Themer, choose Plurk Smiles.
6. That’s it. You’re done! Enjoy!
